Welcome to Kaleigh Turner Creative – Branding and Web Design for Creatives

Wow! I feel like this company has been about 30 years in the making. What took me so long?! When I started my photography business 7 years ago, it was never supposed to be permanent (gasp! I know..). I found out that I just so happened to love photography and I loved photographing those in love and providing them with their first family heirlooms, so I kept doing it because every year, I couldn’t imagine giving it up. Being an artist doesn’t always mean being or loving one creative thing. I’ve been creating art since I was 3 when my momma sat me down and taught me the correct way to hand-sketch a face from memory. I love sketching, I love painting, I love fashion design, I love home design, and I love, love, love photography.

What most people don’t know is that my degree is actually on graphic design. Before I became a photographer, I started my career designing wedding stationary (ya’ll, I seriously love weddings)…one of my closest friends was the first to take a chance on me and believe in my ability to create something beautiful for her wedding (shoutout to Haley, those programs were so kickass and I love you for it :). When I started photography, I kept designing custom stationary as part of my clients wedding packaging and it was a big hit among the brides (seriously, one less thing they had to worry about, ermirite?!). A few years in, I felt like I couldn’t give the very best of my design abilities to my clients while focusing on being their wedding photographer too, so I closed up shop on that part of my life and have solely focused on wedding photography the last 4 years. There’s been a little whispering part of me that’s always in the back of my mind reminding me that I miss designing.

Starting this company doesn’t mean I’m quitting photography, but it means I am definitely more creatively fulfilled. Ive always believed this was the path I was supposed to be on, I was just waiting for God to tell me it was the right moment. About 6 months ago, I realized it was time. Because I’ve spent the better part of a decade in the wedding industry, I feel like I’m somewhat of a pro in that area and it’s what makes me happy, so I’ll be focusing on building brands and websites for wedding professionals, creative entrepreneurs, and small businesses (a wedding stationary business is in the works too!). I can’t wait to see where this path takes me!

Cheers to new beginnings!
